Hello! How are you? Today’s chord is DmAdd9 As you know, a chord is composed by 3 or more notes that sound together and create harmony, a minor chord is the one composed by its keynote its minor 3rd and its perfect 5th in add9 chords we have to add that 9th, so 1 3minor 5perfect and 9th if Dm is composed by D F A, adding a 9th is adding an E D F A E, let me show you three ways to put it on the fretboard there are more ways, but these are the most used by me 1st is an open chord so we use open strings over a Dm chord using finger 1 on 5th string instead of the capo 5th string 5th fret first string is open so, E our needed note, is the 9th interval for D so finger 1 string 5 fret 5 finger 3 string 4 fret 7 finger 4 fret 7 string 3 finger 2 fret 6 string 2 and open E on string 1 in this position there is another way more standard maybe a bit more tricky but beautiful capo on fret 5 finger 3 fret 7 string 4 finger 4 fret 9 string 3 finger 2 fret 6 string 2 we do not play 6th string warm up before doing this one do not hurt yourself 3rd position is easier and sounds just equal because of notes order 6th string as keynote capo on fret 10 finger 2 fret 12 string 5 finger 4 fret 14 string 4 we play all strings so… DmAdd9 OK Be good!
