HOTTEST FASHION TRENDS YOU SHOULD BE WEARING | NEWEST SUMMER LOOKBOOK HOTTEST FASHION TRENDS YOU SHOULD BE WEARING | NEWEST SUMMER LOOKBOOK
hey guys and welcome back to my channel
my name’s Tracy I’m glad to see you here today
we are actually going to be thrifting in New York City
specifically the Brooklyn area I am very intrigued onto how this is gonna go it
could go one of two ways I could find a ton of stuff or I could find nothing or
I might just find some I guess there’s multiple ways this could go but
being plus-size it is always harder to thrift and I don’t know what plus-size
thrifting is gonna be like here so I guess we’re gonna find out so let’s go actually before I go I should probably
mention some of the stuff that I would like to find while thrifting one of the
items is a good pair of overalls that is kind of my main hunt right now I’ve
never really owned a pair of overalls and I kind of want to try some out but
that might just be a never-ending battle because I don’t know if I like overalls
I love everyone else in them like I love the outfits people pull off and
everything I just don’t know if I like them on me and that’s why I haven’t
really found any so that could be it I’m also looking for more crewneck
sweatshirt it’s like this one I just really like crewnecks
I like how light they kind of are and you can layer them with stuff there’s no
like hood or like zippers or anything I would like to get some that have like a
pattern or something I’m also on the hunt for some neutral shirts right now
my closet is filled with a lot of graphic tees and like pattern shirts my
number one thing in my closet is over shirts or like jackets flannels denim
etc stuff that you wear on top of stuff and I’ve been trying to branch out into
like funner pants which means I need more neutral tops because with funner
pants can’t really be wearing crazy patterned tops or anything I mean you can
if they go together or if you like the two patterns together but personally
none of my match my pants or anything so i’m on the
hunt for some neutral tops before we get too far into this video if you are
enjoying what you’re seeing please give a like and subscribe below I’d love for
you to be a part of our community so as you can tell I am back home now my
trip to New York was great I already miss Bella and of course Beth but this
is what I got while I went thrift shopping I did buy one of their reusable
bags because I unfortunately did not bring one with me and it was raining
that day so I wanted to make sure that my clothes were gonna make it back fine
I got six pieces while I was in New York I just want to quickly say I probably
could have found more and like a little bit more diverse options but I did get
overwhelmed like very easily like you saw in the clips before and maybe I’ll
pull one right here it’s just overwhelmingly big in some of these
thrift stores the first one I went into wasn’t too big but they don’t sort
anything by sizes I know a lot of the goodwills that I’ve been into don’t
swear by sizes but they’re at least by like color or I don’t know for some
reason they just feel easier to shop through where these ones were just kind
of like sorted by what type of clothes it was but just felt so overwhelming and
being a plus-sized person there definitely was not that many options for
me which I kind of expected being in like the Brooklyn area I mean I have no
idea but it just didn’t seem like there was as much variety of sizing so it made
it really difficult because I would really had to go through every single
piece of clothing and I just was not in the right mindset to do that so that was
a little bit of a bummer but what I did find hopefully I will get some good use
out of but let’s get into this bag oh also I did go to three different thrift
stores I went to two l-train vintages and one place called urban jungle which
I’m pretty positive was owned by l-train vintage so they’re kind of all the same
so I didn’t even try to go through the jeans or anything like pants related
because that was way too overwhelming to not be sorted by size
so the first piece I got it and I’ll insert clips of me actually trying all
this on this dunlop long-sleeve shirt i really liked the color blocking my I do
tend to wear a lot of black on black and like more muted colors but this yellow
is like one of my favorite colors granted it’s only a small stripe on it
and I love red too so my vision for this might be to crop it a little it does
have pockets which is cute it just has a little emblem here that says sports
style Dunlop this was eight dollars it is an extra large so the next item I
found was this inc International Concepts shirt it’s just like a white
flowy shirt with kind of bell sleeves and this little cutout pattern right
here so this is actually a size medium I did try it on just because I thought it
was a really cute shirt it is however snug at the bottom so this was one that
I was gonna crop and him at the bottom just so it wouldn’t fray but I just
thought this was a really cute like basic piece especially since the weather
is getting a lot warmer now it is literally 64 out today which is
shocking for March in Massachusetts on the coast so I have a feeling I’ll be
able to wear this a lot sooner than expected
the next piece I got is this just ribbed black t-shirt which is kind of like a
simple staple piece which I’ve been looking for cuz you can’t even see them
but all of these are black t-shirts that I own and I think one of them doesn’t
have like pattern or graphic on it so I wouldn’t like to have something else I
just like the little neckline of this and this is a Tommy Hilfiger shirt it is
an extra-large it looks pretty old or worn but it doesn’t like the tag does
but the actual shirt doesn’t and it’s super soft this was $10 which is usually
more than I spend on a t-shirt but I figured the quality of it was really
high and I just really liked this shirt so I had mentioned that I wanted to get
some more crew necks and I found some this crude neck is from
faded glory it’s an extra-large it’s just this like emerald green it is super
soft I just thought this is a cute kind of staple again who knows this might
also get cropped but I just really enjoyed this this one was six dollars I
don’t know if I mentioned that if I didn’t this was six this crew neck was
eight dollars it’s just a Russell athletic large my vision for this one is
that I’m gonna bleach tie-dye this I really love the look of like the bleach
tie dyeing and I’ve always wanted to try it and now that it’s kind of like a
trend again I gotta make the leap and do it this is a really nice crewneck though
it’s super soft if I do bleach dye this would anyone like to see a video on it I
know there are millions of videos already however I have a bucket of
clothes that I would say 50% our clothes that have been in my wardrobe for a
while and just need some repairing and the other 50% are thrifted items that I
intend on the thrift flipping that I just have not gotten around to so I think
that I will do a video on it to kind of motivate me to actually do it and be
able to start wearing these pieces but if you’d like to see that give this
video a like and let me know I will try to do it
so the last piece that I got is honestly probably my favorite one and if you
couldn’t tell I do like stripes I’m pretty sure I have mentioned it in past
videos if I have not there is a joke that I literally can’t come home without
something striped in my bag you can’t even see them all but I do have quite a
few striped shirts like this one and now looking at it this shirt is pretty
similar to this just a darker color scheme but it’s an oversized tee it is
from the Marber Mart I knew this was gonna be an issue
I can never save this word Marrs maru borough marburo mom
I blame growing up in New England and not pronouncing r’s too why I can never
say this because I don’t Mar Marlboro
Marlboro Marv whatever I got this Marlboro I think that’s right Marlboro
just lose the I don’t know I got this Marlboro t-shirt it is from their brand
it is a large / extra-large it was $10 and I do not smoke cigarettes I actually
kind of hate it and don’t like the smell I don’t like what it does to you but I
just really liked this shirt I just like the little graphic pop of the red and
it might have been stupid to buy this shirt since I do not like smoking but I
couldn’t really pass it up I do like how big and long it is but part of me thinks
I might end up popping in but we will see so that is everything that I got in
New York this is the end of the video thank you so much for watching if you
have made it this far and you enjoyed it please like and subscribe down below I
would love to see you around here again and until next time bye guys
Welcome to Fernando Berlin
here in our showroom in the heart of Berlin.
I’ll show you, how to take the measurements at home.
It’s easy and does not take long You will see, how to take measurements:
for knee high boots, for our over-the-knee boots, and for the so called thigh-highs. We start with the knee-high and
then we just work our way upwards. In the end there you will see some results, too. We’re starting now with the knee-high boots.
We need three measurments: C, B and A and these measurments consist
always from the circumference and the height at which it was measured. We always start at C, we always start at the bottom: Here
we have a 20cm and a 10cm that means, a circumference of 20 cm measured in
a height of 10 centimeters. We should ideally note all of
this on a sheet of paper to have it at hand when we order later.
Then let’s go up and look
now for the widest part on the calf. Whether that’s now 1cm
too far up or 1cm too far down, is not super important, there are tolerances.
You should always go for “roughly exactly” :), The widest part can
be found by pushing the tape up and down a bit.
When you found the spot, take the measure.
Don’t pull too tight, but don’t let it too loose. Just that you feel
a slight resistance. Then we have 35cm here. Then
mark the spot with our index finger. From this point we hold and then measure down.
It is 34cm. Then we come to the end of the shaft. We measure that directly under the knee.
You can feel where the kneecap is. You can see where the knee fold is. The leg is a bit narrower here. The leg is slightly smaller here in circumference.
We have a 31.5cm here. We remember the spot and measure the height. and we see 41cm here. So,
and that’s it with the measurements for the knee high boots. But we are
thorough, that’s why we control the whole thing backwards on
other leg. Usually legs are never exactly the same. One is always
A little bit wider than the other. That is perfectly normal.
We start from the top, we take the 41cm we had last measured.
Measure at this height… Wonderful, is exactly the same! At the height 34cm we have the circumference of 34.5cm We can see that the right leg is a little bit more narrow than the left leg, a half
centimeter narrower, to be exact We stay with the 35cm that we
measured earlier on the other leg We always keep the
measurements of the stronger leg. The measurements are the same here. And that’s it.
We know the shoe size. Then we can go to our computer and order boots. If you would like to know how
you measure over-the-knee boots and thigh-highs, can stay tuned for a moment.
Now to our over-the-knee boots. We just need another one additional
measurement. We still only have three measurements. At Fernando Berlin over-the-knee boots means,
that the boots will cover your knee. For boots that are foldable, meaning you can flip the top up and down,
we use the knee measurment for the down folded state.
,like this. When you fold it up,you can flip the top up and down,
we use the knee measurment it goes over the knees. I think that is understandable.
We need exactly the same measurements. So
ankle, calf and and now the knee circumference. We feel where the kneecap is, that can you always feel quite easiely. We lay the tape
over, and see “aha”, we have 35cm. We mark the height with our finger. And the height is 51cm. Re-check the measurement again carefully. The knees most of the time, but not always,
the same. Another one 35cm. Then we have
the measurments for our over-the-knee boots. On a short note, the measurement down here at C
is important for us for orientation. We do
not make the boots very tight fitting here. There needs
to be some air and, more important, we need to keep the boots the style
and the cut. The boots are supposed to make your legs longer.
That’s what a good boot should do. Also, you need some room for movement. So here is
always a little bit of air. Concerning other measurements, again briefly
noted, we always take your leg measuremens and then
they are “interpreted” to the leather With a solid leather we
need to add little more. When we are using very soft leather,
depending on the boot model or as desired” then
we may even have to substract a bit Because the boot has to fit very
tightly. Now to the measurements for the thigh-high boots.
We basically need the same leg measruments as for
the over-the-knee boots, from the ankle calf, knee and now to the spot
where the boot shall end. That means that we also measure to here
right now. 48cm we will remember that again. so 67cm Let’s control that again. Outstanding. …so.. We now half all the boot measurements
We could now every boot we like.
Again briefly as a comment on thigh highs…. You can choose the height you like.
You can order up to here , up to here, up to here. This
is completely up to the customer. Just the way you like it. We have taken a medium height.
With a medium height is special but still flexible.
Generally as a styling tip: The longer the boots are, the more
difficult it is to combine them. But that might be an issue for
another video. Well, that’s all folks! Have fun measuring!
Here are some results. 😉
