The lydian scale is one of those scales that
people say, is a scale that has no avoid notes. So I say… So, I’m playing the sharp 11, sounds beautiful,
right? And now, I’m playing the 9th, still sounds
nice. What about D7, natural 9, flat 5. Or natural 9, sharp 11. The di-ad is like a two note chord. So, you can start seeing that there’s a lot
of really cool possibilities. Play that again. It’s almost endless what you can do. C major over F, is like… what if I play
C pentatonic over F? You see what I mean? So, it’s kind of a nice thing there, you know? If you like the way something sounds, that
you play, and you don’t know why it sounds good. Figure it out. You know? Figure it out. You can not imagine how much good that’s going
to do for you.
