Something – THE BEATLES – Guitar Lesson

November 3, 2019

Hi, I’m Bobby crispy This video is part of my guitar lesson series So today I’ll show how to play something by the beatles so I’ve broken it down into four Chord progressions, so [I’ll] show how they’re played note for note using tabs Okay, so I’ll play it first okay, so this is the intro or – number one Okay, so that’s in F bar chord Next chord is G flat so we can either play it in the Third fret position there Or you can Barre chord at the six threat [Ex] [Corde] is g. I like to play it with the b is [bass] so first part Okay, then question number two [start] singing it starts off with C Next Chord C. Major Seven just left your pointing finger next Chord C7 and then it’s f your top string e Then a t7 gee If you want to throw in the bass part it’s g top string third fret more times Top string, that’s right fifth string a four times The second fret P. Let’s Okay, so I’ll play a chord progression number two right through Okay, [number] [three]. It’s an A-Minor next chord is a minor major seventh like that and a minor seventh that and then a D9 which is a d regular d without the middle finger, so Pay that again intro Okay, I’ll show the sequence of the contributions at the end of the table the pSAlm structure Okay, so the next part chord Progression number four it’s a Okay, next part is a C minor 7 2 g 2 type play the top string 2 and f sharp minor and a the top stringy D gee and a A major we want to throw the base there its fifth string open top string fourth fret third second first Open okay, so we’ll play that through Now the second timer out you play it Okay, and [go] instead of a goes to see if you want to throw an ace, which would be That would be seeing Okay, so fifth string [third] fret second open top string third fret first open fifth string fifth fret third so it’s Okay, that’s pretty much it [song] structure the riff one two and three one two and three again 1 & 4 2 & 3 1 2 & 3 then at the end they play the intro chords a [-] [gee] [the] answer see And that’s the sun, okay. [I] hope this lesson has some helpful, and thank you for watching

I think Yoko can be heard saying "00469_Edit" about two-thirds of the way through "Revolution 9".

  • Reply Matt C May 27, 2012 at 7:43 pm

Nice way to copy my comment.

  • Reply TeamMastaPr2 May 27, 2012 at 9:39 pm

LOL… copied? It had the same meaning, yes, but I portrayed it way differently as a fictitious dialog between Bobby and the "Me-person".

Hey, Bobby. Thanks for taking the time to post this stuff. I noticed a couple of differences between some of your chords and the published recorded version…

    First is in section 2: Am – Am7 – Am#7 (instead of AminMaj7)
    Next is in the chorus: It is A – Amaj7 – F#m instead of A – Cm7

    Thanks again!

  • Reply Bryan Persaud May 28, 2012 at 12:16 am

    sorry Am – Am(#7) – Am7 -D9

I would love your lessons except that you don't teach the original notes and chords of the artist, you change the key .. I would like very much if you taught notes, chords and keys of the original song-artist instead of your own interpretation.

Thanks broham! You did get the order a bit wrong, you went into a new verse where the "I don't wanna leave her now…" bit should have went, but I got the chords and the structure, thanks bro!
