Oklahoma Film + Music Spotlight: Daryl LeFever, Film Producer

January 14, 2020

The incentive is very important. Whenever
we do these films we usually build budgets for several different states and
see which one makes the most sense and if Oklahoma didn’t have a rebate as much
as we like it here we couldn’t afford to come because it would be cost
prohibitive. The longer that Oklahoma continues to incentivize the film
industry the more quality employees there’ll be, the more skilled craftsmen
there’ll be. The more people will want to build infrastructure and buy grip and
electric and lighting and camera equipment. The more transportation
equipment will be here, the more local vendors will be accustomed to dealing
with film. So the longer the longer they continue to do it the bigger the
industry becomes and it just employs a lot of people.
