man that's a killer solo you played there, took me to whole another world and btw all the videos on your channel are quite beneficial for guitar enthusiasts like myself.
    Team Les Paul m/

for the kind of music my band plays the Les Paul is definitely a better option but for the melody a telecaster is defiantly the way to go

  • Reply D Clipper November 19, 2018 at 7:08 pm

Or if you want both, get an ASAT.

  • Reply imthemosthandsome November 20, 2018 at 6:04 am

that tele must get all the ladiesssss

  • Reply drutgat2 November 25, 2018 at 6:43 pm

Thanks for this. When you were doing the clean sounds at the start of the video, did you have something like a chorus pedal on or something? The Les Paul did not sound like any other LP I have ever heard (and I have one identical in looks to the one you were playing, although it looks like mine might weigh more, from the way you were handling yours).

  • Reply HudsonRiverBoy November 25, 2018 at 6:43 pm

Dude – your playing is just fantastic – on every vid i've seen of yours. That RUSH lick sounded spot-on with the Les Paul, while on the Tele it sounded almost like a Country lick – but still awesome. Do you do any lesson vids?

  • Reply ferox965 November 26, 2018 at 2:32 am

I've had a Strat, Tele and a Les Paul. I've always preferred the full throat roar it has, and the smooth cleans…always went back to my Griffinburst Les Paul.

  • Reply Kevin Sansoni November 28, 2018 at 7:25 am

If u can. Pls do a strat vs tele comparison

Man, that telecaster's calling my name. She looks and sounds so beautiful….

  • Reply theviolingeek January 26, 2019 at 10:20 pm

True the EPI sounds great! but not made well. Chinese version of Les Paul. Love American made!

  • Reply Craig Usselman January 30, 2019 at 6:19 am

Usually its Strat vs LP Tele vs LP is unique even though only a couple years apart they are quite different but legends all the same.

  • Reply Craig Usselman January 30, 2019 at 6:26 am

Actually I own a Squire Tele and an Epiphone LP and yes even they are astonshingly different but they are both fun to play. I own 3 Fender Stratocasters not because im elitst but when i was growing I always wanted a Fender Strat didn't know about Squires

  • Reply Jacob Swigert February 10, 2019 at 4:20 pm

I can’t say I’ve ever liked Les Paul tone.

  • Reply Vadeilton Silva February 18, 2019 at 12:58 am

    eu gostei mais da Telecaster

  • Reply Kurt Baxter February 19, 2019 at 10:33 pm

The Les Paul is like a cozy scarf on a chilly day in the forest, the Telecaster is like taking the scarf off and filling your lungs with crisp mountain air.

  • Reply Cole and Logan February 22, 2019 at 5:26 pm

  • Reply Chris Walker April 10, 2019 at 7:06 am

Tele sounded better all the way around except for the middle position. The les got it on that one.

  • Reply Windows Media Player April 12, 2019 at 11:50 am

George Harrison is that tele neck pickup

Sense I’ve started playing guitar I’ve owned nothing but strats which don’t get me wrong I love them to bits but I wanted to to get a les Paul or a telecaster and I’ve made my decision to buy a les Paul but in the future I’ll definitely get my hands on a telecaster

  • Reply Jason Etzweiler April 14, 2019 at 12:55 pm

1st riff, lookin out for number one, bto.

  • Reply Krys Fender April 17, 2019 at 2:17 pm

The middle position with the telecaster on clean sounded incredible

  • Reply Steve Kaufmann April 21, 2019 at 5:54 pm

Les Pauls are for cheesers to play sloppy solos to led zeppelin backing tracks. Telecasters are for actually good guitar players who can play in clean tones. Everything I just wrote was dumb

  • Reply Henry Perkins April 25, 2019 at 5:33 pm

DAMMIT. I'm getting a a butterscotch blond tele and selling all my other guitars.

  • Reply Aloysius Stone May 27, 2019 at 7:37 pm

I prefer to play the tele for all intents and purposes but it's not quite got a fat enough sound for the way down the neck solos.

  • Reply GrandAlchemist May 29, 2019 at 10:49 pm

definitive proof that telecasters are better than les pauls… RIP

  • Reply Fredrik Svärd June 2, 2019 at 5:48 pm

    Sounds: paul
    Ergonomics: neither

  • Reply Maël Lorach June 24, 2019 at 12:25 am

Can't beat the warmth of the LP clean imo, Tele is too bright

  • Reply Jim Mannella June 30, 2019 at 11:23 pm

  • Reply Andres Lugo July 4, 2019 at 10:52 pm

Es el mismo tono de pedales?
Lo único que cambia es la guitarra?

  • Reply Mick MICHAELS July 7, 2019 at 10:04 am

Telecaster sounds southern, les paul sounds Slash.

  • Reply Brian Nelson July 18, 2019 at 11:15 pm

Both sound so delicious!!! I’m for sure a Les Paul guy, but for sure appreciate a Tele when it’s played right (Roy Buchanan). There’s something just so warm, full, and beautiful about the Les Paul to me. But the tele is so unique too! In the hands of a good player I think anything can be good, lol, Hahahaha.

  • Reply Adam Gover August 2, 2019 at 12:50 pm

What amps/pedals are you using in this video?

  • Reply MoTone GearChannel August 4, 2019 at 3:56 pm

This comes purely down to preference, as both instruments are fine choices. With that being said, I'd take a telecaster over a Les Paul ANY day.

  • Reply Juan Diego Bazán August 5, 2019 at 7:28 am

    Tele for ever!

  • Reply tom smith August 13, 2019 at 3:13 pm

TELECASTER HAS MORE "RINGING" SOUND. REMINDS ME OF THE EDGE'S U2 PLAYING.

  • Reply BlueRhino23 August 19, 2019 at 4:47 am

I saw this video a couple years ago. I loved both, went with the les paul first. I'm now jsut bought my first teli 🙂

  • Reply xblackcatx13 August 23, 2019 at 1:44 am

TELE destroys it in every way.

  • Reply 오잉 August 31, 2019 at 3:13 pm

  • Reply SoDamn Fast September 8, 2019 at 5:29 pm

Can you make a long version of that solo, really love it.. so relaxing

  • Reply Wise Guy September 18, 2019 at 11:54 pm

Weird. In the majority of your A and B soloing, I much preferred the Tele yet I'm a huge Les Paul fan. I own several of both and I definitely gravitate towards the LP. Maybe I'll start picking up a Tele once in awhile because that was sweet sounding!

  • Reply Golden Orchid September 24, 2019 at 5:58 pm

i love les paul dirty tone

  • Reply JohtoMaster 92 September 24, 2019 at 11:25 pm

For me it's all about feel, since you can get amazing tones from both guitars. However, I just love the way a Gibson feels and nothing feels as good in comparison anymore.

  • Reply SoDamn Fast September 26, 2019 at 2:44 pm

Hey, can you make a full version of that solo.. i really love it, can't stop playing that part..

  • Reply Mr. Thunderwolf October 5, 2019 at 3:17 pm

  • Reply John Bugno October 8, 2019 at 3:39 am

Great vid!! Thinking about getting a Telecaster. This vid helped a bunch w/ understanding their tonal diff. Many thanks and God bless!!

  • Reply Jarrod Ottinger October 8, 2019 at 11:48 pm

I own a 2000 Gibson LP Studio, which has the slimmer of the two necks styles. In the majority of cases, and for the styles of music that I play, I prefer the tone of a Les Paul. You can always add some presence or mic your amp further away if your tone is too dark. I also think that a Les Paul responds better to pick dynamics when your amp is at the line between clean and dirty. My 2¢. 😊

  • Reply John Nichols October 11, 2019 at 5:21 pm

They both sound great, just different.

  • Reply Ruben Kelevra October 12, 2019 at 11:15 am
