What color is the Les Paul?

  • Reply josue garcia August 23, 2019 at 3:20 am

What is the song in the beginning

Really depends on money thats the short answer

  • Reply jakestermax August 24, 2019 at 5:46 pm

My un trained ear cant tell a difference so I would say buy the one you like the looks of best. Or the feel or the price or just get both

  • Reply Uncle Terry August 24, 2019 at 5:54 pm

Les Paul all the way for me

  • Reply Juan Gonzalez August 25, 2019 at 3:34 am

Buy the one you see at a very good price… that’s what I did, now I have both a CS Fender strat & a CS Gibson Les Paul.. Im a happy man 😎… now I want a PRS Santana 1

  • Reply Jesse Miles August 25, 2019 at 8:45 am

If you want a heavy, non versatile overpriced electric: Gibson Les Paul.

If you want the best electric ever made: Fender Strat

  • Reply Hey Bulldog August 25, 2019 at 10:44 pm

Name of the songs you played to show the differences?

  • Reply Landry Spoor August 26, 2019 at 2:05 am

I’ve always liked the les Paul over the strat because it always sounded smoother but that can only go with some songs as the strat has a more rough slung to go with other songs so it’s basically a 50/50 while trying to play certain songs with one

  • Reply Craig Banks August 26, 2019 at 8:01 pm

To my ear the Gibson is more mellow. My pick.

  • Reply Matthew Boeding August 27, 2019 at 3:52 am

You forgot Ace Frehleys band with his les paul

  • Reply Josh Smitty August 27, 2019 at 1:21 pm

Squier sounded better to me. Both the les Paul guitars sound muddy and undefined.

  • Reply Strato Caster August 28, 2019 at 9:23 am

I love the Strat clean and the LP disto I need both. The Squire sounded More close to the Strat than the Ep did to the LP.

  • Reply M P August 28, 2019 at 3:48 pm

Strats are for guitarists who have mastered their craft. Les Pauls are for guitarists who think they have mastered their craft. -Bass player

i have an acoustic guitar and i love it but i reallllly wanna try electric guitar but my mom said no 🙁
    i’m so sad

  • Reply LUIS ALEJANDRO VILLEGAS MENDOZA August 29, 2019 at 1:48 pm

THE TRUTH, GIBSON IS MORE COMFORTABLE THAN FENDER, I HAVE BOTH GUITARS AND I PREFER TO PLAY WITH GIBSON, THE ARM IS VERY COMFORTABLE AND SOFT, THE CHORDS ARE MADE EASY. FENDING THE ARM IS A LITTLE UNDERSTANDING AND HARD AND WEIGHTS MORE THAN THE GIBSON.

  • Reply tamas szilagyi August 29, 2019 at 4:57 pm

Amazing skill… I was so captivated by your playing, the tone, and the sounds from both guitars I can not remember a single word you said… Awesome! 👀

I just ordered black Les Paul SX+ SX amplifier + pedal Boss ds-2, can't wait 10 more days to pass to get it

When I found a Les Paul with a Floyd Rose, I found the right guitar…

  • Reply tony ray james September 1, 2019 at 11:49 pm

I'm a bass player and Fender guy…I like both of these of course, over 30+ years I have played with hundreds of guitar player using many different guitars , , but to my ears the Gibson SG seems to fill the most space pounding out chords .

  • Reply SB Media Scotland September 3, 2019 at 12:59 pm

You can fair hear the sound quality difference between the Strat and Gibson vs the Squire and Epiphone as well.

  • Reply Tiger Masters September 3, 2019 at 1:37 pm

Grew up always wanting a Les Paul and bought one but it wasn’t until I bought my strat that i truly fell in love, now I have 3 even an reverse Hendrix model that has a great sound.

  • Reply WaxP3 September 3, 2019 at 10:53 pm

Great blues song at 5:00 Added to vocabulairy. Thanks for that.

  • Reply MarbleSplash 466 September 3, 2019 at 11:54 pm

The best guitar is the les paul

  • Reply Cale Keene September 4, 2019 at 2:11 am

    For Me –
Neck Position Blues: Strat > LP (very close)
Bridge Position Rock: LP > Strat (Not at all close)
    Pos. 4 + 2 vs Bridge + Neck : Strat > LP ( Not close)

in conclusion…. Thanks for a great video but I think I left more confused than I was before lmaoo

  • Reply Les Hollands September 5, 2019 at 12:09 am

Thanx for the comparison. For me it's the American made Stratocaster.

  • Reply Ryan Lewis September 5, 2019 at 2:22 am

Put a paf in a strat problem solved.

  • Reply choochoo3985 September 5, 2019 at 4:44 am

I must say the Les Paul has better string separation sound. I can hear every separate string on the Les Paul which I cannot on the Fender and I have a Fender.

  • Reply PhishyBongwaters September 5, 2019 at 2:09 pm

Honestly, if you give the epiphone pickups a chance they are pretty damn good. Night and day between my epi-SG and my mexi-strat. If I could slam the strat neck on the SG and get that throaty "god is yelling at you" sound from those humbuckers I'd never leave my jam room.

  • Reply Wilander Xavier September 6, 2019 at 7:09 pm

I love that lick at 7:35, I am so gonna scam that right away

  • Reply Chucky Dombroski September 7, 2019 at 7:55 am

Both are amazing but to my ear I think the strat wins

  • Reply Herr Punch September 8, 2019 at 6:05 pm

Nice Vid! Great Explanations , great playing everything seems to be fine…but for me…personally…it`s kinda useless to compare Guitars with Single Coils to Guitars with Humbuckers. Yes, these are the STANDART MODELS, but each Comp has Models with either Humbuckers (Strat) or "Single Coils" = P 90s Les Paul…so…why not compare those?

  • Reply Samuel Brophey September 9, 2019 at 11:43 am

Why does his bass have 6 strings? Weird.

  • Reply Javier Hagendijk September 9, 2019 at 3:08 pm

I don't like either of them tbh. the strat is too long and the les paul too bulky

  • Reply Braditz September 10, 2019 at 6:34 pm

is it just me or squier sounded really better than the fender??

  • Reply Mod Boy NERF September 10, 2019 at 7:36 pm

    Conclusion: get a hss strat

  • Reply TokyoBlue September 10, 2019 at 8:25 pm

I decided to buy a Les Paul (only the Epiphone is in my budget for now). It's my first guitar so I'm really excited about it! Both Fenders and LPs sound great but I like the warmer (?) Tone of the LP I think

strat rules. in my opinion. its like buing amplifier. You are listening HK a someones plugs denon. the same price but sound rocks you.

  • Reply Riki September 14, 2019 at 10:34 am

    Great video & Channel

  • Reply Josh Stern September 14, 2019 at 11:52 am

Honestly both are great guitars but if you wanna start a rock and roll band such as like KISS or Metallica or Van Halen go for the les Paul it’s more of an arena and stadium rock guitar with a metal feel…The strat is more for like jazz or blues guys…I personally would go for the les Paul because I’m a big rock and metal guy and the body is much smaller and more compact than the strat which I love…both are great guitars tho🤘🤘

I can say that I love having a whammy bar, so that basically instantly means Stratocaster.

  • Reply Wargasm644 September 17, 2019 at 3:43 am

I’ve played great Strats and great Les Pauls. But Les Pauls just feel substantial and have a bit more bite. I play metal, so I actually play ESP most of the time. Along with LTD’s. All Eclipse models. Which are just a modern interpretation of a single cut. But I like heavier guitars. When I play a strat, they just don’t feel perfect like a Les Paul does too me. Some super Strats are pretty kickass. But honestly, they are both great guitars. If you’re able to lay down the money for either (USA ), you’ll be a happy camper. I guess I like what I started on. Which was a Les Paul knockoff made by Hondo. Lol. Was a cool guitar and came factory with Dimarzio Super Distortions back in the early 80’s. 🤘🏻 Play what you like. We are living in the golden age of cheap quality guitars at the moment. You can get a really decent rig for 500$ and a killer one for a grand. Cheaper if you go used. As long as you’re enjoying yourself, that’s all that matters. 👊🏻

  • Reply Jeremy Wooldridge September 19, 2019 at 2:05 am

I own 6 Les Pauls and 1 strat so you can see which way I tend to go. Haha. The strat is great, I just prefer the weight and tone of a Les Paul.

So glad that you do this review. I'm really hesitating if I should buy a Gibson or a Fender. I now got my eyes on a Gibson les Paul studio albino white.

  • Reply Tristan Schoorens September 21, 2019 at 1:26 pm

Oh man, Les Paul all the way, there's just no comparison. It sounds like electricity itself. I can hear the electrons screaming. The fender sounds better on the quiet, prettier stuff, but who gives a f*&^!
