ECU Development in Modern Vehicles with Simulation

November 5, 2019

This is Mr Cooper. Mr Cooper is
the head of the simulation department at an automotive company. He and his team use simulations for the development of vehicle control units. In his sister departments for driver assistance systems or motor development, simulations are also used for virtual test drives on the PC… …or in hardware-in-the-loop systems. Even in the early stages of development, a variety of vehicle tests are performed in this way. This has always worked well until now. However, Mr cooper is now faced with
a few problems: more and more control unit versions are
being added and each one has to undergo numerous tests. This alone is time consuming not to mention the challenge of managing
the models, recorded data and results. His team will soon no longer be able to
cope with the volume of simulations… And vehicle hybridisation isn’t making
simulation any easier. The units have to communicate
with each other and function together… — that’s before we
even mention the number of departments involved. However Tom, a new member of the team, has an idea: ” We can get support from the experts for process-oriented simulation solutions, TESIS DYNAware. They have more than 20 years’ experience in the field of vehicle simulation.” And this is how it works: According to his requirements, Mr Cooper can make use of a tailor-made solution. TESIS DYNAware doesn’t just offer a professional simulation environment, with structured management of his model versions, recorded data and results. Models made from different simulation
tools are fully integrated and run in one surface. This enables him to efficiently use the models from sister departments as well. He saves even more time while many tests
in the simulation environment are being automated. And from their many years of project experience, TESIS DYNAware offers advice for the implementation of customer-specific workflows, …such as those for transparent approval processes. Mr Cooper is convinced: TESIS DYNAware’s customised solutions
enable him to structure his department’s simulation processes more efficiently. This saves him and his team time and makes working together easier. This means they are equipped for simulation tasks to come and can
concentrate fully on their development tasks. TESIS DYNAware — Pushing Innovation.
