DON’T FEAR THE REAPER Solo – Blue Oyster Cult – Guitar Lesson

Hi, I’m Bobby crispy this video is part of my guitar lesson series So today, I’ll show how to play a solo from don’t fear the reaper. I blue oyster cult Ok so we’ll play it first Little show [us] play no flow using tabs Ok here it goes you okay, I’m going to change as good clean sound Okay, so first part Okay, start on the first string 15th fret okay. Yeah, when we pick up the string but while you’re doing it you pull off to the 13th fret and back on the 15th, so it’s And bend up on the 15th That’s a hammer-on and pull-off 13th 15th fret the 12th 13th 15th [fiftieth] again [2nd] string [5th] fret again Okay, that’s [second-string] [50] threat 16:15 first string 13th fret second string 16th fret first string 15th fret and up slide up to the 19th fret 19th again End up in the 19th slide down to the 15th date twice Hammer-on and pull-off the 16th fret to [assisting] so that [part] again suing dude It’s kind of hard to play. I’m certain the middle of the soul. It’s kind of throws the out of it Okay, the next part [still] on the first string 15th fret em run and pull off on the 16th fret second-string 18 thread back to the first string 15th 13th fret Hammer on pull off on the 15th second string 17th fret back to the 13th fret first string second string 16th fret first string 13th second through 13th See them do that again Okay, the next part is easy [second] string 12th fret Hammer on the 13th and pull off Then just do the exact same thing on the third string 12th fret your teeth Okay, so the next birth so for a string 15th fret bend up 13th Love 13th second string 15th first string second string 1350 Bend up So [yeah] that part is Okay, the next part [second] strings 13th fret 12 and run to the 13th pull off back to the 13th Okay, 12th and rome to 13th and pull off off again Third string 13th fret 12 as well right again fourth string 15th fret back to the third string [twelfth] fret [played] twice so that part again is the next part [13] 12th fret second string 13th and 12 Do that again? Right the third string twelfth fret slide out of the 10th wait wait so that very good news Okay, next part for [stream] 15 threat third-string 12 slide up play the 13th fret second string 13th first turn 13 back to the third string 13th fret of the 12 Hold it for a bit go to the top string [3] first string 15 thread bend up Okay back to the third string 12 play it again and down to the 10th Or a bit.     whats sweet is the easy way its broken down very clear well done many a video guitar lesson video angle is wrong and cant see strings while fretted. but perfectly clear here well done

    thank you so much Bobby. this is my favorite solo by far and I couldn't have done this without you. I I've been wanting to play this solo eve since I started playing guitar 3 months ago and I finally got myself to be determined to learn this damn solo. I'm not able to play it perfectly but I'm practicing and it gets better everytime I do it. thank you so much, I really appreciate what you do.
