December 3, 2019

CORRIE star Jack P Shepherd is charging fans £3 to meet him, The Sun on Sunday can reveal  Soap favourite Jack, 31, who has played David Platt on the cobbles since 2000, has lined up a series of nightclub appearances during the festive season  They include a gig at Liverpool’s Electrik Warehouse last night, where the actor was booked to host the venue’s regular “Pandemonium” night  And punters were charged £3 for tickets to the meet and greet event, with posters promising: “1000 free Gail Platt masks, to make Jack feel at home ”  TV star Jack was last year named as one of Corrie’s highest earners, after bosses offered him a £250,000 a year deal in a bid to keep him on the show  The big money offer came when he impressed with his portrayal of David’s trauma after he was drugged and raped by villain Josh Tucker  He went on to win Best Actor at the British Soap Awards for his performance.  But sources told how the actor has since sought out personal appearance bookings after watching his co-stars rake in the cash during similar events  And they say he is now hoping to do the same.  One said: “There is a lot of money to be made from these events, and it’s easy money All you have to do is turn up, pose for photos and sip free drinks. It’s a very lucrative business – especially because the biggest stars can expect to rake in up to £10,000 from a venue to make a single appearance ”  “It’s fair to say Jack will be making a fair bit more than £3 per person that turns up ”  Jack is also now listed on Prime Performers Speakers Agency, with his page noting he is “Available for light switching on ceremonies and personal appearances ”  Other Corrie stars listed on the website include Andy Whyment – who is currently in the I’m A Celeb jungle – and Antony Cotton GOT a story?
