14,000-pound whale washes on Maine shore

WMTW NEWS 8’S DAVID CHARNS WAS THERE AS SCIENTISTS BEGAN THEIR WORK. DAVID: THIS IS A 14,000 POUND MINKE WHALE THAT WASHED UP IN BIDDEFORD TUESDAY. SCIENTISTS ARE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW IT DIED.>>WE ARE TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE OCEAN. DAVID: SCIENTISTS HOPE THE WHALE WILL TELL THEM MORE ABOUT LIFE IN THE GULF OF MAINE.
